yey, so the boards got over. Its been 2 weeks (they got over on the 27 with a horrible mcq paper) and i've done almost everything i wanted to. I had(still having) all the Thumsup (or is thumbsup..the bottle says the former, who cares? i do) i can have..ah bliss!

so we planned this 'outing' on the last day of the exams, it was successful for the first time ever, everyone was there(no transport problems for once!) We had decided upon citiwalk in Saket (nice place..but the strawberry gelato is overpriced). I was late and subject to the 'killer' glares from my friends (i couldnt help it..i was stuck in a traffic jam, isn't it normal???). Well, everyone was gorging on nice stuff, i got my food (pasta..loplop), and we sat and chatted and fought and argued and chatted some more, there was nothing much to do really. We hadn't planned to go for a movie (noooooooo) so we just hung around the mall, went to designer stores and basically freaked out.

I had a go at the Xbox, yeyy what fun!

Next stop was Crossword (ya that bookstore on the second floor), mini,ragini and me spent a considerable amount of time reading Shahrukh Khan's biography...yes i am an srk fan (the truth comes out eventually).

so thats how the 'outing' was.. uneventful but fun!

I plan to spend the remainder of my holidays thinking about what am i going to focus upon: SAT or IIT..telle est la question tu vois. I've got some nice classics, will read them too.

Day before yesterday we gave arshiya a surprise b'day party, it was way belated cuz her b'day was on 30th June but obviously we couldn't celebrate in school as the exams were on. The plan was awesome and we had loads and loads of fun at her place with sana's ringtone and stuff ;) and yes we were laughing like hell (as usual).

Also, exams are over (yippeee), but its not like the end of it cuz there three more to come.......still its nice (that the exams got over....what were you thinking).

So, I am currently reading this amazing book by William Dalrymple called 'From the holy mountain', so far so good. Its a nice travel book about the Byzantine world. Its too early to form an opinion about it because I am only on page 27 (^-^)

ok this blog is not at all what i had expected it to be......you know....... stuff , school, news, happenings and things that relate to me, but unfortunately its just stuck up with a not so apt(but cute pic) of my doggie and ya that detailed and boring description of my first quiz. But now I have decided to update it more frequently (how frequently i dont know but ya you will get to see more posts other than these 2 lame ones).

So, summer vacations are going on and its 'tenth' ya the much hyped tenth grade. So I am stuck up here with a maths project, 4 practical files (maths, chem, physics and bio) and ya whole lot studyng to do for the assessment exams when school opens in July.

k so it was a rockin day today. We had our JQ finals from 3 to 5, so i skipped school to revise, it was my first quiz and i didnt want to mess it up! We reached msbk (modern school barakhamba.....for those of you who dont know) at around 2:15, the quiz was supposed to start at 3 but it finally started at around 3:45 or something, i was too tensed, i don't know why.

So we went up on the stage (duh!), six teams: dps rkp (2 teams), dps faridabad, dps dwarka, apejay noida and Bharti vidya Niketan. There were a total of 8 rounds.The first 3 rounds were pretty easy and and we were on the lead with 35 points, then the next 3 rounds were difficult, no points for us, we were on 35. By the next round which was internet, we were still at 35, I really wasn't sure if we would win. Dps faridabad was at the top with 60 points and we were fifth at that time i think. By the last round (visual) faridabad was first, the rest of them i don't remember very well but we were at fifth position (stilll!!!!!), finally the life saving question came. It was our direct and the correct answer was the BSD daemon, which we got right (10 points....yey!). Now we were at third position along with dps Dwarka (45). A tie breaker was obvious. So we got 2 visuals and we had to write the answer on seperate sheets which were to be given to the quizmaster. Luckily we got both right: Mozilla Thunderbird and Azim Premji. The other teams got just one correct. So finally we came third and the other team (Ananth & Sajal) came second and first was dps faridabad.

I am damn excited. First quiz: third prize: a trophy and speakers: not bad eh?
